in Kidapawan City Opens
Kidapawan City - Mindanao Land Foundation in partnership with Move On Philippines International, Inc. and The Asia Foundation will be having a launching of a Learning Resource Center on July 20, 2006 at 8:30 AM at the Mindanao Land Foundation, Inc. office in Kidapawan City.
The Learning Resource Center is established to make more educational materials available to the public and also to enhance children’s learnings in school by providing access to multi-media educational resources.
The center contains supplementary reading materials and other educational materials like magazines, story books, dictionaries, toys, audio visual materials and sets of encyclopedias for pre-schoolers, elementary, high school and college students and even professionals. These resources were donated by the Move On Philippines International, Inc. and The Asia Foundation.
A short program after the ribbon cutting shall usher the center's opening to the public. A photo gallery is also available for viewing just before the program starts.
Guests and participants of this activity will be coming from the Learning Resource Communities (LRC) Network, non-government organizations (NGOs), some schools in the primary and secondary level, and the DepEd Cotabato Province.
The Learning Resource Center will be made available to the Learning Resource Communities Network, other organizations and the public every weekdays from 8:30 AM to 12 noon and from 1:00 PM until 5:30 PM.(MinLand/jmo).
